Generally, applications over wood require installation of expanded metal lath mechanically fastened to the substrate floor. Use of felt sheeting is recommended at seams.

Limitations:
- Requires Primer over porous surfaces
- Efflorescence can develop as a result of the migration of water and can result in the failure of substrate or bond
